A new connected cloud service deal has marked a new milestone in the business to business (B2B) cloud service industry in Malaysia.
This is according to the new partners, Malaysia’s REDtone and Chinese ICT giant Huawei, during the signing of the deal held in conjunction with Huawei’s 15th anniversary in Malaysia.
Lau Bik Soon, group chief executive officer of REDtone, “We know that cloud computing plays a key role in the transformation for both the IT and telecommunications industries.”
Lau said the company’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) capability will be built on Huawei’s IT system including server, switch, storage, firewall and OpenStack cloud Operating System to offer an end to end solution.
“We aim to scale up our cloud infrastructure and become one of the largest cloud platform providers across the nation,” he said.
Foo Fang Yong, vice president of Huawei Malaysia said, “We will continue to openly invest in and work with partners to provide innovative, differentiated, and leading IT solutions for customers worldwide. Our continuous optimisation and innovation will contribute towards the development of ICT transformation in Malaysia.”
