Malaysian broadband services provider Redtone International has launched a prepay mobile service tariff dubbed ‘Ansar Mobile’. The service mainly targets light mobile phone users. The Ansar Mobile prepay package offers a 30-day active period with a reload of MYR 15. The starter pack includes MYR 5 airtime and is available for MYR 10.80.

Redtone is currently collaborating with its agents throughout Malaysia to market the Ansar Mobile service. Redtone will use the Maxis network to commercially launch its mobile services to major market centres, second-tier townships and rural areas. Maxis and Redtone signed a network sharing agreement in 2012. The two partners also reached a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) agreement in June 2016.
