REDTONE LAUNCHES PREPAID MOBILE SERVICE
26 Sep 2016

REDtone International Bhd has launched its prepaid mobile service called Ansar Mobile to cater to light mobile users.

In a statement last Friday, the telecommunications solutions provider said Ansar Mobile’s prepaid package offers a 30-day active period with a reload of only RM15, which is the lowest prepaid commitment in town.

“This makes it perfect for lower-income users who just want to stay connected without having to pay for unnecessary extras. The starter pack comes with RM5 airtime and is priced at RM10.80, making it an equally ideal choice for young people and seniors,” it noted.

REDtone said it is currently working with their respective agents throughout Malaysia to market the Ansar Mobile service.

“The marketing strategy includes riding on REDtone’s e-purse platform, an innovative system developed in-house, which allows agents to top up their credit, make payments and receive commission payouts instantly,” it added.

REDtone will be leveraging on the Maxis network to commercially roll out its mobile services to major market centres, second-tier townships and rural areas.

Recall that Maxis Bhd and REDtone had entered into a network sharing and alliance agreement in 2012. Further to this, both companies signed a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) agreement in June 2016.
