IoT FARM Monitoring System - Integrated IOT in agriculture

IOT Farm Monitoring System

IOT Farm Monitoring System

Optimising Agriculture through Real-Time Data

The Internet of things (IoT) centres on the ability for technology in everyday objects to send and receive data. Recent times have shown that the agriculture sector is benefiting greatly from IoT technology being integrated into simple electronics. In fact, IBM estimates that IoT will enable farmers to increase food production by 70% by the year 2050.

Farming based on sensors is growing increasingly important. Having the ability to precisely monitor in-field variability and make decisions based on data is transforming how farmers manage their operations. Being able to better optimise crop management will have a transformative effect on agriculture.

Monitoring of Farm Conditions

The REDtone IoT Farm Monitoring system (SF100) is a solar-powered monitoring system designed to measure environmental conditions on a farm. It leverages sensors to collect real-time farm data and automatically reports directly to the Cloud. The system, located across the fields, uses sensors to gather information such as soil humidity, moisture levels, air temperature and other environmental variables, subsequently sending the data directly to the Cloud. Growers can then access the real-time data via a smartphone, tablet or laptop. This helps growers know what’s best for their crops without having to manually estimate or make an educated guess. Better data fed live from their own crops will guide farmers in making the best possible informed decisions for planting, watering and pest control.

3 Simple Steps

Collect Data

Our sensors allow for seamless data collection, from farm to smartphone.

Monitor & Analyse

Use the dashboard to monitor trends and assess risks.

Take Action

Use real-time and historical data to support decisions. Cut costs by regulating resources like water and fertilisers.
